Under the Sea Birthday Party Bash

By: denise designed

This past weekend we celebrated Emma’s 4th Birthday with an Under the Sea Birthday Party Theme starring Ariel and Flounder!!

And boy do I love themed parties.  So this one was a lot of fun!  Although  it was, as well, a lot of work.

Prior to the party day I had to send out the evite, plan the menu, order decorations, buy balloons and flowers and shop for all the food.

While the above was time consuming, the day before and the party day was even more so.  There were a thousand things to do in prep and my worry was that I wouldn’t have time to finish.

Thankfully I had some help…my mother, niece and a friend.

Here is my list…

Sheets dyed to match the pink as I couldn’t find the exact color (to be used as tablecloths)…CHECK!

Bottles wrapped with Custom Wrappers (which had to be printed)…CHECK!

Table Tents and Party Favor Thank You’s printed…CHECK!

Party Favor Cups Filled…Check!

Cake picked up…CHECK!

Whew!  That was a lot of time and effort!

Next up was the food!

We had a food table

And a desert table.

The themed food included:

  • Fish in Water (blue Jello with swedish fish)
  • Shrimp Skewers
  • Sand Dollars (chips)
  • Crab Dip
  • Shell Salad (shell pasta with bell peppers and poppyseed dressing)
  • Fish Pellets (nuts)
  • Submarines (sandwiches)
  • Starfish (PBJ sandwiches)
  • Ocotopus (hot dogs shaped liked octopus and wrapped in croissants)
  • Fish Food (goldfish)
  • Fish Bait (fruit)
  • Coral (cheese puffs)

But all that time, effort and work was well worth it.

The day was filled with lots of fun, food and laughter.

And it ended with an Outdoor Showing of The Little Mermaid.

Emma had a fabulous time, which was the most important.  Great memories in the making!

Need some help planning your party or event, let me know.

Your challenge is to think outside the box when you are planning your next one.  Think about a theme and see what you can do with that theme.  Let your imagination run wild.

Thanks Heather! Emma did love it. But of course, she can’t appreciate it, just yet, in the same manner I do. Ha! I can come do a party for you! Or send you all the ideas! Ha! Just tell me and I am at your beck and call. 🙂 Love you. Thanks for stopping by!
