I have 2 open activities right now:
- Polling others to find out what they think I am known for and one word to describe me.
- What are some significant experiences that brought me satisfaction and peace.
I have received some good feedback on the 1st one. Although I will poll Facebook this evening.
Deadline was originally tomorrow. We shall see if I need longer or not. Need to gather all the responses into one place.
I am still thinking on the significant experiences. I have a few. But I do need to ask a few close people if they remember a time. My partner in crime (since she is doing this challenge with me), Michele, gave me one of hers which reminded me how I felt as well. So I have definitely have a few.
I will give myself the remainder of the week to complete.
The next activity is for me to think about any times that I received payment for something that I enjoyed.
Hmmm…I think this one might actually be hard. Here are the things that I have done that I have gotten paid for:
- Waiting tables
- Selling – shower gels, uniforms, shoes, telecom, pharmaceuticals, software
- Babysitting (way back in the day)
- Teaching private voice lessons
- Tanning
I don’t think I have any other things that I have done, other than in my jobs or careers, that I have received payment for?!??! There are a lot of things that I have done that were volunteer, for no payment, that I could have received monetary benefits from. Hmm…
I could write those down as well!
The next question would be…did I enjoy any of the above…payment or not?!?!
I really want to close this one out sooner rather than later so will have to think about this one tonight! I guess I have my topic already for tomorrow morning.

I think most people consider payment to be $$$, but does it have to be? Can payment be in the form of gratitude or satisfaction or happiness?

It can. You are so right!
