Herbs…with or without the “H” sound?

By: denise designed

Ha!  I needed a catchy title.  Did it work?  Did I lure you in?  Obviously so, since you are here!  🙂

While I have you here, lets talk about fresh herbs!  Do you cook with them?  I do.  If I don’t personally have any growing at the moment, I will buy them.  Really…nothing beats a great Lamb steak with fresh chives and rosemary (lets not forget to mix with fresh garlic, salt, pepper and olive oil).

This week I planted some:

  • Rosemary
  • Basil
  • Oregano
  • Chives
raised bed 21

Image from Personal Garden – yes still have some work to do around garden bed

I really want to plant at least one more.  I am thinking Peppermint, Thyme, Lavender or Dill.  What do you think?  Which one do you think that I could use more?

Your challenge is to throw those dried herbs away and plant or buy the fresh stuff.  You cannot go wrong!!!  And tell me what  you think I should still add!  Thanks!

Definitely keep the ‘H’ or we’ll all be saying erbs, ouse and orse 🙂
I grow garden mint for making mint sauce to accompany lamb and to use as a tea.

BTW…I tried the mint and loved it. I have mint in my garden now. 🙂 Thank you!

It gets a bit invasive but it’s worth it, glad you liked it 🙂
