Ahhh…I love coffee.  Actually I really love coffee.  It doesn’t matter if its made here at home or whether I buy it at Starbucks!  And I am not one of those people that HAVE. TO. HAVE. A. CUP. OF. JOE every morning before I can function.  I just love the taste of it.  Yes…I have said “love” a little bit too much!  So I think you get it now!  How about you?

More important for this post…after you make your daily pot, what do you do with those coffee grounds?

Did you know that you can use them in your garden?  Coffee grounds help in composting and are supposed to keep those slugs and snails away.

Instead of throwing those coffee grounds away, spread them in your garden (mix ’em in the soil).

And by the way…when you stop by Starbucks, early in the morning, for that fabulous cup, ask them for their grounds.  But you have to be there fairly early because this isn’t really quite a secret.  Although I didn’t know about it until last year really.  Or maybe I knew why Starbucks gave them away but just didn’t really get it.  Now I get it!  🙂
