As you saw from my post on Friday morning, I have had a lot of issues with the blog this past week. In my attempt to have the site migrated from wordpress.com to self-hosted, there were some roadblocks.
I have dished out a lot of money, emotion and trust since I started down this road in April. And boy have I learned a lot through the process. But that’s for another post. Just when I was ready to throw in the towel, I had someone great come to my rescue…Steven. He has been amazing. I owe him a big thank you!
Let me tell you how…
When the issues with the migration started, I had some choices to make and I chose to try to figure the mess out on my own. Well…let me just tell you…that was dumb. I think doing things on your own can be great! But I just don’t have the time. So with little time and a lot of emotion and money invested, it was not a good decision for me.
At one point…the site was down….completely down!! I tried everything to get it back. I had met Steven that weekend before. When he and I exchanged emails and he understood the mess I as in, he got to work! The first night…he spent 4 hours on the phone with the hosting provider to get things fixed. Who does that?!!? Well…I know I was paying for that, but how awesome for him to take the effort on. He had no idea what he was getting himself into.
Once we were back up and running, we then had to decide on the design. I was either going to pick one that it was already installed or I needed to buy a new one or the original one (as I had to re-buy do to the wordpress.com to self-hosted move). We found one that could almost everything I wanted and we were off. I am so pleased with the blog and appreciate his readiness to help me get things fixed and be successful going forward.
In the end, he has been awesome. Not only has he not charged me as much as he should or could have….probably felt sorry for me….he has also been patient. He went the extra effort. In a time when it’s hard to find people who truly care about their partnerships, take pride in their work and believe that good customer is key to their success, Steven came along and proved me wrong.
By far, Steven from Small Fry Support has been the best True Partner in this endeavor. He listened, was patient and made some great recommendations. Promoting him is not anything we negotiated for a discount in service. For me, I am promoting him because I genuinely think he is absolutely FABULOUS!!
Need any blog help? Need any website help? Steven is your “Go To Guy”.Check him out! Worth your time and money! I am including a link to his site both below and in the footer of blog.
Thank you Steven for everything!!!!!!!!

So glad you found Steven! Your site looks fabulous and I know it’s such a relief to have it up and running. I know that kind of stress… NOT fun! 🙂

Definitely not fun. Thanks Sondra! I am glad as well. He saved the day. Julie was going to learn to migrate as she helped me over, but I ended up needing someone that day. Steven came to the rescue! Thanks again for stopping by, checking out and commenting. Appreciate it.
