As part of my goals for this year, I have chosen…
My One Little Word for 2015
Why did I choose a word? ONE WORD to focus on? Because it helps me to focus on one key goal for the year.
In 2014 my One Little Word was Relax (click on to read).
How did it work for me? Having one word to guide me through 2014?
It helped quite a bit to help me get through such a difficult year. I had to relax…let the stress go, take time for me, etc. As I started to Relax, I began to Balance better.
Just seemed so fitting to carry over what I learned and try to truly adopt the concept of…
My life is so busy (as I am sure it is for us all). Between my full-time career, blogging, other business streams, volunteering, etc balance can be hard. In previous years, I thought that balancing meant that each item above, along with family, individually, all had equal weight.
But I have learned, for me, that they should really be divided and combined into two buckets. One being Work and the other being Family.
Now family weighs more than each of them independently and as such, should have more focus.
So how do I ensure that Balance is a daily focus? Well…
I have written it down on my Dry Erase Board, one I created and provided a tutorial for last year, that is in clear view when sitting at my desk to work everyday.
As well, since Focus on Family is one of my 4 goals I have set for myself this year, I have regular activities to help me achieve that goal and the only way it can be done is by Balance.
And lastly, I am participating in the One Little Word Class with Ali Edwards that kicks off in January’s and ends in December.
How about you? Do you have a word that you can focus on this year? What is or what would it be? Comment below and let me know.
I still need to share my Looking Forward to 2015 this week so stay tuned. And hope that you are having a fabulous week! Thanks for stopping by.

Denise, I need this word in my life right now! Balance is the key to keeping my sanity for work and home!

Agreed DeDe. Same here! Although another one, that goes hand in hand with balance is present. To be present. So when I balance, I hope to focus on being present in the moment and not thinking about the next thing I need to do or should be doing. Good luck this year.

I’ve been trying to figure out balance for over a year and can’t seem to do it. I can’t wait to see how it works for you. I wrote about my word for 2015 on my blog, I actually have two. I’m rebellious like that. LOL
