Share it Sunday {45} is Live!
I know its late. And I know I skipped last week. I am so sorry. And I hope you will forgive.
Things have been a bit difficult during this time with Mattias in the NICU. But he is growing and getting stronger, so that is good. Here is a more recent photo of him.
There have been several updates in the last couple of weeks since I last published Share it Sunday here. Right now he is on cpap 4 which is the lowest they go. Cpap helps him expand his lungs when he breaths. The next step would be to take him off of the cpap all together. He started out on level 6 so he is doing good. Not sure when they will take him off. Could be a week or two. So we shall see.
Additionally, he is up to 3lbs and 10oz with 32ml of milk every 3 hours. He started out, after birth weight, at 2lbs 10oz with feeds being in the single mls. So he as really made some strides here.
He is sucking on a pacifier every now and then and that will help prepare him for a bottle as he is being fed through a tube in his stomach.
I wish there was more to report, but better at least there are no negative steps back…they are all forward…except that initially I thought we might be able to bring him home at the end of September or beginning of October, but it is more likely to be mid October, at least, before he will be able to leave the hospital.
Thank you to all of you for your support, thoughts and prayers and your comments, both here on the blog and through FB, texts, etc. I really appreciate everything.
Enough of me…now on to you…
We trust you’re having a good one! Whether you’re spending time this weekend doing some fall cleaning and organizing or watching college football (or a little of both), you’re going to want to take a little time to enjoy the features at Share it Sunday!
We are in love with lots of the links from last week’s Share it Sunday party!
The link with the most clicks was from Robyn at Robyn’s View… Unusual Uses for Lemon. Since lemon juice is a natural disinfectant you can even use it to clean produce. And next time you find that you have poison ivy apply some lemon juice right on the skin. Who knew?
Several projects tied for the same number of clicks, and they are equally inspiring! Tara from Anything and Everything gives us the low-down on Annie Sloan Chalk Paint:
Lindsay from My Creative Days does a wonderful job giving this old barn box new life:
And this is a really cute fall craft idea from Kathy at A Delightsome Life… French Stamp Fabric Pumpkins:
Finally, we have quite a yummy looking treat from Ashlyn at Belle of the Kitchen! Strawberry Cheesecake Muffins… can you say YUM?!
If you were featured, we’d love it if you’d grab this button for your page:
We can’t wait to see what you bring his week, so let’s get to it, shall we?!
Just a quick reminder…
Share It Sunday goes live on Saturday at 8pm CST and the link stays open until Tuesday at midnight. Please share your best home decor, DIY, craft, recipe or inspiring idea. The party is hosted by three bloggers, which means your links are seen by three times as many people. Show some host love by stopping by our blog, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter and
Google+ pages to like, follow, pin, etc. We will do the same for you too.

Oh my Goodness Denise- all is forgiven, I can’t believe you’re still making it here to check in! When my littles were in nicu (mind you, not nearly as long) I had a scheduled post go out and otherwise didn’t open my computer. He so deserves your love and attention right now and you’re giving him all your mama heart can.
Looking forward to hearing he’s home in your arms each night
