As we are all trying to improve our Social Media Skills, it’s definitely a value add if you can learn…
How to Create and Add to Twitter Lists
Having lists will enable you to follow, interact with and re-tweet with much more ease.
Let’s start with…
How To Create a List
First step is to Click on “Settings and Help”.
Scroll down to “Lists”.
You will then be taken to a “Lists” page. Click on “Create new list”.
There will be a pop-up for you to enter the required information. Simply decide on the list name, add a description if you like and “Save List”.
BTW…you can chose the Privacy level to be either “Public” or “Private”…up to you.
Once you have clicked on “Save List”, you will immediately be taken to that “Lists” page that you just created.
Now that you have a List created…
How do you Add To that list?
Easy!
Go to the twitter page that you would like to add. You will need to “Follow” them. Once you are following, you can click on the wheel next to the “Following” button. You will then have a drop down. Scroll down to “Add or Remove from Lists” and click.
A pop-up will appear and provide you a list of “Your Lists”. Check the list that you want the twitter page to be added to and then you are done. Just click somewhere outside that box and the box will go away.
If we “Create a List” button unless you truly do want to create a new list vs. going through the steps above.
To get back to your lists, click on the “Me” view. Once in your “Me” view, you can access your lists, by clicking on “More” and scroll to “Lists”.
The next screen might confuse you as you won’t actually see those that you have added yet. You will need to click on the List you want to access.
I am combining two steps in the picture below. When you click on the list above, then it will take you to a tweet page that will show you all the tweets from those in your list.
After you have clicked on the List as shown above, and you are taken to the tweet page for that list (picture not shown) then you will want to click on “List Members” in the left sidebar. You will then see, in the middle pane, the members that make up your list.
And there you go!!!
List started and members added. Hope this helps! Give me some feedback by leaving a comment below.
