It’s time to share…
My Updated Blog Calendar
I had to make a change. Prior to the Toxoplasmosis, I was blogging a lot. Some would maybe even say too much. In fact, if I am being honest, I think both my traditional sales and my non-traditional blogging careers took precedence over anything else. I and my family suffered.
When I was diagnosed with the Toxoplasmosis, I really had to prioritize as I didn’t have much energy or feel well enough to do much of anything.
First came my sales career and then everything else took a back seat. Blogging being the furthest back.
I did, however, learn some Perspective during that time.
Suffice it to say…family has become more important.
And something key…
Balance
Part of balancing is reducing the number of times I post a week. Or, at the very least, not holding myself to such a stringent calendar.
My Updated Calendar affords me some flexibility. I may still blog 3-4 times a week, but the beauty of it is that it’s up to me and I can choose what and when. Heck…if I want to only publish something once or twice a week, I can do that without feeling guilty.
Yay me!
That is key since I am expecting soon and my life will became CRAZY. It already has. Being Pregnant and Over 40 certainly takes a little bit of a toll on ya (or me, in this case).
We all know that I am not the young whipper snapper that I once was when I had Emma. Ha! Yes…I am not that old and it wasn’t really that long ago when I had Emma (5 years). Just wanted to make you laugh a little.
But all kidding aside, I did want to set expectations, hence why I wanted to provide you the Updated Calendar here.
And! I want your input. Comment below and let me know if you like the schedule, if there is something that you would like to see more or less of or just let me know you were here.
Drum roll…here goes…
Sundays are DIY Tutorials or Crafts
Mondays are Professional Posts of some sorts or Blog Tips
Tuesdays are Home Tours or Events
Wednesdays are Series Days or Features
Thursdays are Home Decor or Anything Days
Fridays are Round-ups or Recipes
Saturdays are only for Share it Saturday posts
The biggest difference is this is not a weekly calendar, but is, instead, monthly. With this schedule, I may only post one of these different topics a month.
For example: Week 1 I may only post a Sunday DIY Tutorial and a Saturday Share it Sunday. Week 2 I might publish a DIY Tutorial on Sunday, a Home Tour on Tuesday, a Round-up on Friday and then my Share it Sunday post on Saturday.
Let’s see if I can actually maintain or stick to this schedule. I do have OCD tendencies so I may start to go crazy again. We shall see! 🙂
Again…let me know your thoughts.
See you again tomorrow. Working on a Pregnant and Over 40 Post!

Denise, I hope you are feeling well today. I love the way you are trying to add balance to your blogging life. I have Fibromyalgia which really effects how much I can do on any given day and frequently I forget that I am disabled and I need to give myself a break. I would love to know how the monthly calendar is working out.

Thanks Traci. Sorry to hear about your Fibromyalgia. My aunt deals with or manages it daily as well. I will update you then regarding the monthly calendar. I am a type A personality and sometimes a bit OCD so we shall see. I am going to try. Additionally…I have so much that I want to push out or publish… So again…we shall see. Hopefully you are having a good week. I know that Fibromyalgia is painful. Thinking of you.

Denise ~ Yay for you! Here’s to perspective and balance and family and less stress. I think you should blog about whatever suits your mood. If you like it, I’m sure I’ll like reading it.

Thank you Michele. Now I hope I can hold myself to that…that will be the challenge. 🙂 Thats what I think. I gave myself some more flexibility in both what I write and when I post it. And the goal is to work monthly instead a weekly. So we shall see.
