Last week I shared How to Freshen Up your Outdoor Cushions.
This week I want to share My Refreshed Patio Table…
in hopes to inspire you!
As you can see in the above picture…it’s in rough shape. The frame has faded (used to be black), there is a tile that was taken by the strong winds during one storm and thrown, hence it being broken into several pieces. And if you look at the fabric backing, it is stained a bit just from the weather.
I have really tried to find a new set, but haven’t found one that I liked well enough. Either the table looked cheap, or the cushions weren’t the right color or I just didn’t like the chairs at all.
So until I can find one myself, I thought a little bit of paint, clean-up and new tiles would go a long way!
Please note…I will be replacing some of the photos here tomorrow night. If you notice, the lighting was different. The after was later in the day, early evening and therefore does not look quite as bright. If you pin any of these, I will just thumbnail them to the bottom of the post.
This is all I needed for this project:
- Spray paint
- Tiles
You will want to start with a clean table and chairs so just be sure to go through that process before you start.
I took the tiles out.
Then I spray painted the table.
As that was drying, I worked on the chairs. I was really concerned about painting the fabric backing, as I was not sure how that would really look. But it turned out ok. Here is the after and before.
Once the table was dry, I just put the new tiles in. See the old tile vs. the new.
The new tile matches the concrete color and overall color scheme.
And there you go…final table.
I will not provide you the full look as I will do that when I feature my Patio Tour for the summer. So stay tuned for that.
I think it turned out ok and am very proud that I now have a decent table that looks good. I will get a little bit more use until I can find the either the right chairs or a complete set, rather than just buying the first thing I find.
I hope I have inspired you to freshen up your outdoor set.
Let me know how it turns out for you.

That is AWESOME. Just goes to show what a bit of paint can do to breath new life into a well worn beauty!

No kidding Rebecca. I did finally find some great chairs that will look fabulous, but love the table now even more after the new paint and tiles. Yay!

Looks great! Amazing what can look new when you add a little hard work and TLC. Those chairs too, turned out great!

Thanks Allie. I need to update photos but have not been able to do so. Boo. But thank you!

I spent the day “refreshing” our patio stuff too. We’ve gone through more outdoor tables – from broken ones, to worn out sets. Tired of spending money on them!
