Yes it is January 12th and I just finished taking down Christmas. Very sad, I know! But its finally done, organized and in the attic until next year! Yay!
Before I put out my non-holiday-themed decor again, I thought…
Do I want to decorate for Winter or Valentines?
I ended up including a little of it all…brought some of the non-holiday-themed out and added both Winter and Valentine’s decor. I’ll show you more this week as today I just want to focus on the Valentines Wall Design.
Those of you who have been following my blog know that I introduced Burlap into my design this year, starting in the fall and have carried through Christmas and now Valentine’s/Winter.
And as such…I created a Burlap Fall Wreath Wall Design, changed the wreath for Christmas and then again for Valentines.
For this one, I did not create the Heart Wreath myself. I actually bought them from Hobby Lobby (one of my favorite stores). But I did create the Burlap Canvas.
Supplies needed:
- Canvas
- Burlap
- Scissors
- Hammer
- Stapler Gun
- Staples
- Wire
- Wire Cutter
- Iron
- Ironing Board
- Wreath
To Dress the Canvas
Step 1: Choose the Canvas size and buy the Burlap.
Step 2: Iron Burlap
Step 3: Lay Canvas on Burlap and cut excess Burlap
Step 4: Staple Burlap to Canvas
And there you have it…Canvas is Dressed!
Choose a Ribbon to hang the Wreath
I chose a chevron burlap, the same that I have used previously, but there are so many more options available.
The ribbon was stapled to the canvas and I just switched out the wreath and ensure it was secured to the ribbon with wire.
And there you go…the finished product.
This week I will highlight more of the Winter/Valentine’s Decor on Home Tour Tuesdays.
Share it Sunday is back from the Holiday Break!

Denise, I love this burlap canvas! I have been wanting to get in on the burlap look (I even bought some a couple of months back, with no clear idea of what to do with it, lol!), and I think this might be the perfect way to start. I really like that it is something that can be updated with the season! Thanks for sharing this at Treasure Box Tuesday- PINNED! 🙂
