Its a New Year and we are all interested in ways to improve our Health both Inside and Out. In doing so, we end up spending a lot of money on gym memberships, aesthetic procedures, videos, books and the list goes on, to help us in our endeavors.
Did you know that Apple Cider could help you meet your goals and with much less the cost?
Vinegar has been used for years and years, not only in the kitchen, but also for common household uses such as cleaning, killing weeds and much more.
But Apple Cider Vinegar became much more popular In the 1950’s when, a book entitled Folk Medicine: A Vermont Doctor’s Guide to Good Health written by D. C Jarvis was published that highlighted more of the value that it could have for our bodies. Some tout it as the cure for everything. Its said to help (according to WebMD) with:
- Diabetes
- High cholesterol
- Heart health
- Cancer
- Weight loss
But here are some great, everyday uses (highlighted by Readers Digest):
- Stomach issues
- Hiccups
- Indigestion
- Stuffy nose
- Sore throat
- Exhaustion
- Nighttime leg cramps
Mind Body Green says that it can also be used as a topical astringent for acne prone skin, and some even report that taking it orally every day has helped clear their skin.
Add a cup of apple cider vinegar and a cup of Epsom salts to a hot bath to draw toxins out through the skin and help jump start the cleansing process. This can also help relieve joint pain as well as skin conditions like eczema and acne.
So while it may taste horrible, or sting on your skin (which tells you that I have used it for both), it has so many benefits and costs much less than some of the alternatives or other options available.
I challenge you to try it. Leave a comment below and let me know how its working for you.
Happy New Year!!

Hey Denise! My husband has used this brand for a few years now and swears by it! It really does have so may benefits. Definitely works for muscle cramps. I don’t use it as often as I should… I just can’t get it past my nose! 😉

I can (although tough) get it past the nose. But drinking it. Whew! I tried and just couldn’t do it for very long. I tried it in tea, alone, with some splenda, you name it…I tried it. But I do use for an astringent and various other things.

Add 2 – 3 tablespoons to Apple juice (8 oz) drink for Gall bladder pain. Helped within 30 mins. I will continue to drink twice a day to soften & dissolve stones.
