Blinged out Pumpkins

By: denise designed

pumpkin main pic1

I have mentioned this several times now…

This is my first Fall to Decorate!

And of course…Emma and Andreas already carved a pumpkin!

Yeah…well…it was a goner in just a mere week.  I wish I would have taken a picture of it!  Blah!

I know there are tutorials on how to preserve them just a bit longer.

Instead, I wanted to go and get the fake pumpkins…

YES!  I did say fake!

…and decorate them.

What a perfect project for Emma and I to do together!

I went and bought the pumpkins. They needed to become blinged out pumpkins.

Bought embellishments (I did go crazy and buy a lot).

We then spent an evening decorating.

Sweet Emma.  Can’t you tell?  She is wearing a Princess Dress-up.  Don’t ask me which one…maybe Rapunzel?!??!  Ha!

We then set to work and did our magic.

My favorite is this one:

And

Grand Finale

Emma’s

Took her as long to do hers as it did me to do the rest.  But such a great pumpkin it is!

See where we placed them in a later post highlighting both my:

  • Front Door and
  • Fall Home Tour

In the meantime…be sure to check out a few of other great Pumpkin ideas from some of my favorite ones:

  • Little Blue Pumpkins (domesticallyspeaking.com)
  • Autumn Decorating with Baby Boo Pumpkins (town-n-country-living.com)
  • Monogrammed Metallic Striped Pumpkins (freshideastudio.com)

Your challenge is to get creative with your pumpkins this year.  Send me your pictures and I will highlight them!

Love! Every front porch needs a bit of bling. And it’s so much better not to have them turn into squirrel food.

They turned out beautifully, and what a fun project to do with Emma! Here in FL, carved pumpkins don’t last long either. I’ll have to try blinging them out next time 🙂

Yeah…a whole week Rachel! So sad. It was such a great pumpkin as well. I am thinking I may actually go buy more fake ones. Heck…they can be used again next year. Thanks for the kind words. It was definitely fun! I am sure your cuties would enjoy doing them as well!
