Well…the first week almost done. And I cannot believe that I am writing so early on a Saturday morning. But I am heading to a blog event this morning. Should be fun. Then its off to Emma’s Soccer game. Will be a busy day!
Today’s activity is to think about what Significant Experiences did I go through that brought me satisfaction or peace. Hmmm…this one is a tough one. John had recommended that I talk to my friends and family to see if they have any memory of an activity or period of time where I did something that brought me that satisfaction or peace. I am going to have to do that because I truly can’t think of anything off the top of my head.
I would guess that once I have compiled my list, we will want to figure out why they brought me such satisfaction and peace. What was the common thread among them. Or if there was nothing in common, just trying to better understand what I enjoy so much!
What I am going to challenge myself today and tomorrow is to think about and ask around for those activities. I will write them down as I think or learn of them and get back with you.
For those of you who are reading that know me well, please see what you can think of.
Could be like…Step Sing…while it was a pain every night to practice…I loved getting out there and dancing. If I am really in the moment, I can get lost in dance. And I would not consider myself a dancer, per say.
I found one example. Yay!
Anyone else got one?
If so…email them to me at denise@denisedesigned.com.
BTW…for those of you who have responded to my recent post entitled Honest Feedback or emailed (as I emailed some of you directly) with the:
- one word that describes me best and
- what am I known for
Thank you!
Results next week!
I will think about and write more over this particular activity today and tomorrow. I hope I can come up with more than just the dancing! So HELP! Ha!
Your challenge…do you have a list? Make yours along with me!
Have a good day and see you back here tomorrow.

The significant event that gave me the most peace/satisfaction was holding each of our daughters right after they were born. At my age, after so many unsuccessful attempts, it was miraculous to give birth to 2 healthy, beautiful girls. It’s good to think about this. While in the corporate world, I had many success stories. Now that I’m a stay-at-home-mom, the success stories seem smaller, repetitive and invisible to most, but I think a bunch of smaller successes add up to fulfillment. I need to journal about this one.

Thats fabulous memory of significance. I know I felt that as well. This is why this is helpful for me as well…reminders of where else i might have found such satisfaction and peace. I am glad that you appreciate them both as it sounds you do. I agree with you though…that the small ones add up to the big ones. thanks for stopping by and engaging with me. very helpful and inspiring! big hugs!
