I usually do not decorate for Fall. Christmas is my time to go Over the Top. But this year, I really wanted to break out and add some Fall around my house.
I had such a good time and had a fabulous helper as well (Emma).
Here is what my mantel looked like before the change:
And after the change:
The wreath is definitely my favorite. I searched High and Low for the right one. I wish I could say that I had made it myself, but I did not. Maybe next year.
I kept the “B” so that there was still some turquoise in the design.
The candlesticks also remained in their spots because I needed some height on the right side.
Everything else is a new addition.
I love the Sign.
And the Pumpkins are fabulous.
The natural look of the Lantern ties in the natural wood look pieces that I have throughout the connected rooms.
I am so pleased with the turn out. Very much like the original mantel design, it still looks a bit different in the picture than it does live. But live…Love it!
While I was able to decorate the other rooms as well, I still have some things that I want to add to the Fall Design. I cannot wait to highlight some of them.
What does your Mantel look like? Have you even started decorating? Are you a DIY‘er? Are you adding on to your Design from last year? I would love to see what you have done.
Your challenge is to send me your pictures by emailing me at denise@denisedesigned.com. Any that you send will be highlighted here in a post with all Fall Designs. Good luck, join in and have fun!!

Ooh, pretty gold patterned pumpkin. I love the blue, and would keep that in my mantel vignette, too!

Thanks Darla! I love the pumpkins as well. I have to keep a little of the blue since that is my pop color throughout the house and there are blue items that I can’t replace…like my wall design. Ha! I am going to post my home tour this week…finally. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

LOVE the mantel. LOVE the wreath. It all came together so nicely. I am what I like to call decorating illiterate and always require the help of a more talented friend 🙂
