Barbara Pounders, Interior Designer and Owner of Market Interiors re-designed a master bedroom in beautiful earth tones for a client.  Lets take a look of some key components that helped to transform this space. I adore the golden hues.

Obviously the headboard is the focal point of this room.

To continue the dramatic warm theme, walls a similar but slightly contrasting color were chosen.

Mirrors on either of the bed behind the bedside lamps add both romance and luxury.

And note, in the same picture (above) the contrast of the crown molding and the richness of the walls add character and length to the room to make it seem a bit larger with higher ceilings (although not easily seen in this picture).

The silk sheets and the lampshades are the final touches to ensure that this master suite is a place to retreat and relax.

Your challenge is to take note of how you feel when you walk into your bedroom.  Is it a feeling that is inviting to you?  If not, then its time to re-design that space.
