Most of my posts, thus far, have been to give you some fabulous ideas and jump start those projects you have wanted to get done now for quite some time. But does that mean you have to do it yourself? All by yourself? No! It most certainly does not. There are those few people who really do not have a flair for design. Its not that they don’t have style, its that they may just be too busy, have no interest in it or may just not have the confidence in themselves to find their style.
Hiring someone to help out is always acceptable and sometimes much needed. I know I have thought about bringing someone in to help me at times. It is quite OK.
A designer can help you with placement, can confirm what you are doing, can recommend some new pieces, suggest something for that empty spot. Heck! They can even do your whole house or just one small room. You decide.
How do you find a designer? Ask your friends. Look online. Go to your local furniture or accessories store as they will sometimes have some to reference. Nowadays you can even find almost anything on Facebook. I can also make some recommends. Just let me know.
But I did want to highlight one designer. She is a mom, wife, blogger and designs. Check out Amy Dill from Amy Dill Designs. While she does do quite a bit of commercial designing, she can help you with your home as well.
Designers are a great asset and can help you with just about anything. So don’t feel bad if you can’t find the time or desire to do it yourself? But whether its yourself or someone else, start that project today that you have been wanting to do for so long. Get over the excuses or the design block. Look at all the resources available to you, to include a fabulous designer. Good luck!
Your challenge is to assess whether you really need a designer or not. Be honest with yourself. It’s really ok so don’t feel ashamed if the answer is “yes…that you need one”.
