Gratitude Challenge Day 11
I was in need of some…
Loving Yourself Quotes
So I am going to get real today and share more than I ever have here on the blog.
These past few weeks have been difficult for me. I don’t really know if it’s one thing in particular but it is definitely a lot of small things. I am stressed out with work. I am falling behind and not tackling the hard things and therefore causing myself a lot of anxiety. I’m trying to manage the balance of the babysitter, Emma on summer vacation, work, property owners association, building a house, blog, me and the list goes on. And I feel like I am failing. Terribly. And on top of that…I have really made some choices that have me reflecting on whether I am a good person or not.
Today was another one of those days. I happened to break the trust of a friend. I know its not eating her up as much as it is me, but its killing me.
It’s caused me to evaluate many of things that I have done lately and wonder if am a bad person or not. I don’t think I am though so I really need to get out of this rut. I need to start thinking more positively.
In the spirit of being more positive…I do know the following…
- I’m a good mom.
- I can add tremendous value at work.
- That I am a good president of my property owners association.
- I’m a good friend (most of the time).
- I am a good person most of the time.
But I do have these moments that I wonder why I make some of the choices that I make. And some of those choices, have caused me to evaluate myself lately. That’s why I felt it appropriate to find some Loving Yourself Quotes for inspiration. So here you go…
Beauty is when you can appreciate yourself. When you love yourself, that’s when you’re most beautiful. – Zoe Kravitz
I have an everyday religion that works for me. Love yourself first, and everything else falls into line. – Lucille Ball
Don’t ever criticize yourself. Don’t go around all day long thinking, ‘I’m unattractive, I’m slow, I’m not as smart as my brother.’ God wasn’t having a bad day when he made you… If you don’t love yourself in the right way, you can’t love your neighbor. You can’t be as good as you are supposed to be. – Joel Osteen
Love yourself unconditionally, just as you love those closest to you despite their faults. – Les Brown
3 Things that I am Grateful for today…
1. That I can love myself. Sometimes I get a bit lost, but I know I have the ability to love myself.
2. That I can recognize when I am down and attempt to find my way out.
3. Me! I am a good person. I just make mistakes and I can recognize them and move on.
Livia Hernandez says
Denise – Thanks for sharing and keeping it real. You are a good person. I too do things that make me think – but the fact that it makes you think… means you are special. I love you!
