That’s what I am asking myself today. I have so much to do and I have to figure out how to prioritize. So what’s important? Which items will impact me in some negative way if I don’t get done today?!?
I usually have a to do list that is so long. And there are days that I can’t get through it. I may only check a few items off the list. Those days I feel like I was unsuccessful. Those are the days I think…Man…what a terrible day. But do all those things have to be taken care of now?
In my 31 Days to Find My Way, I learned how to better create and work on my to do list. However, like everyone else, I got caught up in the daily grind. Over a year has passed since that period and now I am back to where I was. Writing a list of a billion things without being able to tackle them effectively.
Today is a reminder that I can’t do it all everyday. And I need to be sure to prioritize the ones that will impact me if I don’t get done.
That is what I will do! My lists, today and tomorrow, will be the important things. The things that need to get done asap! The rest…I won’t even add to the list. There is always another day.
Life is too short to always be stressed and to feel down if you can’t get it all done. No one is going to know if you didn’t get it all done except you.
So today, the 3 Things that I am Grateful for are…
1. My ability to recognize that I can’t do it all.
2. My ability to create to do lists (as some can’t even do that). Now I just need to make sure that I prioritize them and not add the ones that I know I cannot get done. The list will only consist of the to do items that if I don’t get done, will impact me in some way or another.
3. 30 Days of Gratitude Challenge. Without this exercise, I might not have been able to get myself out of this rut.
